Officially opened in September 2000, hyperbarichealth & Berwick Hospital Inc formed a joint venture to provide a multiplace hyperbaric unit at the Berwick Hospital.

The hyperbaric chamber is a large twin lock (entry lock & main lock) unit fitted with large rectangular doorways. A medical lock is fitted to the services end of the unit. The unit comfortably sits six patients per session.
